Having a wedding in Arlington, Virginia

Virginia is a great state for wedding ceremonies, because it offers serene locations, beautiful historic buildings, great culture and a lot of history. If you are looking for the perfect place within Virginia to host your wedding ceremony, or the perfect location to begin your honeymoon, then Arlington would be a great place to begin your considerations.

Arlington County in Virginia is an urban county that is the home to more than 203,000 residents living within the commonwealth of Virginia. Arlington is located on the other side of the Potomac River from Washington D.C. which makes it a splendid place to visit if you have interested in some United States Government and History related sight seeing. Arlington County was actually originally part of the District of Columbia in the past, but the land was retroceded to Virginia in 1846 as part of an act of Congress. Arlington County is only 26 square miles, which makes it the smallest self-governing county in the entire United States geographically. In 2006, Arlington was ranked as the most educated of all cities in the United States, which should speak to the quality of live that can be found in this great little county.

For such a geographically small county, Arlington, Virginia is bursting with life, economy and business. Perhaps because it is located so close to Washington D.C., Arlington sees a lot of tourism and business on a regular basis. Arlington is known for its history and culture, and can provide quite an experience to anyone interested in hosting their wedding ceremony in the area. While perhaps not the most exotic wedding destination, there are still plenty of reasons to consider Arlington as a viable option for your wedding ceremony as well.
